Furniture & Mattress Drops a Standalone Version of Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure on Mobile

Well, it might feel like you’ve heard about this already. Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure being available on Android. That’s because it was previously (and still is) part of the Netflix Games roster. But now, developer Furniture & Mattress has dropped a standalone version on mobile.

So, yes, it’s now available for purchase without a subscription on Android and iOS. It offers a Try Before You Buy option, with the full version up for grabs for $9.99. Another perk of this updated mobile release is that it runs at 60 frames per second, while the earlier Netflix release runs at 30fps.

Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure was created by the Furniture & Mattress team. It includes David Hellman of Braid, Nick Suttner of Carto, and Nicolás Recabarren of Ethereal, along with several other developers. The game first launched in July 2024 across multiple platforms, including mobile via Netflix.

The game centres on Jemma, a small-town misfit who sets out on a journey of self-discovery. After growing up within the tightly contained and somewhat stifling comfort of her village, she ventures beyond it. She then encounters a wider world that’s both inspiring and troubled.

Much of the trouble comes from an immovable force called Static, which contributes to a society shaped by fear and resistance to change. Jemma’s journey raises the question of whether she can disrupt this culture of stagnation while also figuring out where she belongs.

What’s the gameplay like in Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure?

There’s a distinctive interconnected grid that covers the entire world. Movement, exploration, and combat all operate within this system. When Jemma moves, the entire world shifts with her. You need to rearrange the environment and objects within it to progress.

As she grows up, Jemma develops the unusual ability to move the paths that make up her environment and everything placed on them. If you like the idea, check out the game on the Google Play Store.
