05 Mar GameNews John Wick Will Feel Like "Watching A Movie," Dev Says March 5, 2026 Posted by GataGames Leave a comment The new John Wick game from Saber and Lionsgate will feel like “watching a movie,” according to Saber chief creative officer Tim Willits. He told IGN that the John Wick movies already feel like video games, with Keanu Reeves’ title character fighting lower-level tough guys before advancing to a bigger group of baddies, and then eventually a “boss fight.” “So it’s really exciting to bring that action to a video game,” he said. Willits also clarified the timeline for the John Wick game, saying it’s a prequel to the original John Wick movie. People may have already sussed that out given the announcement trailer for the John Wick game showed the main character getting fitted for a suit, and also he looked younger. The John Wick game, which doesn’t have an official title yet, is currently in development for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. It will expand on the franchise’s lore and will feature several familiar faces from the films. A third-person action game, the John Wick game has players doing a lot of what John Wick does in the movies: shooting people and fighting them. Reeves is coming back to voice John Wick and provide his likeness. Not only that, but Saber said Reeves is involved in the game’s production, alongside John Wick movie veteran Chad Stahelski. It’s not the first John Wick game, as 2019 saw the release of John Wick Hex from Bithell Games. As for the John Wick movie series, John Wick 5 is now in the works, but it’s still early days and we don’t know much of anything about it. Gallery Source link Facebook Twitter Email Pinterest
