The new roster follows content creator Kris ‘Swagg‘ Laberson hosting open tryouts for players looking to represent the North American organisation in high-profile tournaments. As a result, the team missed out on qualifying for the first WRS LAN of the season, taking place from March 27th to 29th. FaZe Clan is no stranger to the Call of Duty Warzone esports scene, having competed in 2025’s Esports World Cup. Last year’s tournament saw the organisation score an eighth-place finish, taking home $37,000 (~£27,659) in prize money. The signing of the roster cements its presence within the Call of Duty esports scene. Alongside competing in Warzone, FaZe Clan also operates the FaZe Vegas franchise in the Call of Duty League (CDL) alongside Atlanta Esports Ventures (AEV). Despite missing out on an appearance in Birmingham, FaZe Clan doesn’t have long to wait before it returns to action for a chance to secure qualification for DreamHack Atlanta, with online qualifiers taking place in April. The Growth Of Warzone Esports Since the launch of the Resurgence Series in January and its inclusion in the Esports World Cup, several organisations have signed rosters with the aim of competing against the established names. In December 2025, South Korean organisation T1 entered the battle royale title with a UK-based trio. On March 2nd, T1 dominated the European qualifiers with 261.2 points to book its place in Birmingham, where it will compete for a share of a $100,000 (~£74,742) prize pool and a chance to qualify for the season-ending championship at this year’s Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
