When Can You Play Resident Evil 9? Here Are The Launch Times

It’s almost time to head back to Raccoon City. Resident Evil Requiem–the ninth mainline entry in the long-running Resident Evil series–launches this week, and if you’re planning to play at the earliest possible second, here’s when the game unlocks.

Resident Evil Requiem release times

Capcom hasn’t formally published a global unlock chart, but the Sony listing on the PlayStation Store points to a midnight ET launch on February 27.

That means the game should unlock at:

  • 9 PM PST (Feb. 26)
  • 11 PM CT (Feb. 26)
  • 12 AM ET (Feb. 27)
  • 5 AM UTC
  • 6 AM CET
  • 10:30 AM IST
  • 2 PM JST

So, if you’re in another region, you can use midnight ET as the anchor point. As always, digital storefront times can shift, but this is the current target.

Requiem takes place in a post-nuclear Raccoon City, revisiting the franchise’s most infamous setting years after its destruction. This time, you play as Grace Ashcroft, the daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft from Resident Evil Outbreak–a deep cut that connects the new entry to one of the series’ cult-favorite side stories.

It’s not just new blood, though, as a grizzled Leon S. Kennedy is set to return to the RPD, marking a major callback for longtime fans and suggesting that Requiem could tie heavily into the broader series storyline.

In the meantime, leaks are already circulating online, including story beats and late-game details. If you’re hoping to go in blind, now’s the time to mute keywords and be cautious on social media.

Otherwise, set your alarms. Raccoon City reopens on February 27.
