Scopely Acquires a Majority Stake in Loom Games, Makers of Hit Hybrid Casual Puzzle Pixel Flow!

Loom Games is a Turkish game studio whose hybrid casual puzzle game Pixel Flow! became a surprise hit last year. Released in late 2025, the game has already drawn more than ten million players worldwide. And it isn’t just confined to gamers. Their success influenced video game company Scopely to make a big investment in the Pixel Flow!-makers.

Scopely has acquired a majority stake in Pixel Flow makers Loom Games

The game became the only casual title released in the last 12 months to break into the monthly top-20 grossing charts in the U.S. That was within months of its release.

The game’s mechanics are pretty simple. You tap to send pigs onto a conveyor belt, triggering a rain of balls onto pixel cubes of matching colour. Each pig carries a number above its head indicating its ammo count.

It determines how many hits it can land before leaving the stage or slipping into one of the 5 waiting slots. The conveyor has a fixed capacity, so pushing too many units forward forces you to pause and reassess.

The game’s intuitive, one-tap control system supports short sessions and easy one-handed play. It’s perfect for micro-breaks. That’s what helped Pixel Flow! accumulate millions of daily active users and sustain continued growth since launch.

Now, Scopely acquiring a stake in Loom Games means that they have bigger plans for Pixel Flow! The deal keeps the studio’s leadership structure intact, with co-founders Kübra Gündoğan serving as CEO and Emre Çelik as CTO. They will continue to run operations from Istanbul with their 20-person team.

Meanwhile, for Scopely, the deal is just a part of their sustained expansion. The company currently ranks as the #1 mobile video game company in the U.S. and #2 globally. It recently acquired Niantic, which developed titles such as Pokémon GO, Monster Hunter Now, and Pikmin Bloom.
