How To Solve The Dollhouse Bloodshed Doll Head Puzzle

The horrible, horrible, haunted house of Dollhouse Bloodshed is full of secrets, and unlocking some of them is a bit tricky. This one stumped us when we started playing, so it made sense to put together this guide on how to solve the Dollhouse Bloodshed doll head puzzle.

How To Solve The Dollhouse Bloodshed Doll Head Puzzle

We’ve divided the guide up into the big questions.

What Is The Doll Head Puzzle?

The doll head puzzle is a puzzle you can tackle relatively early, or relatively late in your playthrough. It’s based around a shelf found in the TV Room area. Across a wall at one end you’ll find a cabinet, with three doll heads on shelves, and what looks like space for a fourth.

How Do You Find The Doll Head?

So, it doesn’t take a lot of thinking to figure that you need a doll head. Now… you might think that given you’re… literally surrounded by doll heads everywhere you look, that’d be easy. Sadly no, you’re going to have to go and get a very specific one… from a very lively doll.

Here are the steps in order.

  1. Get the hammer.

    First, you need to get the hammer item from the walk-in freezer. You reach this through opening the suspicious shelf at the back of the library, which you open by pulling a book in the shelf to the left of it. The suspicious shelf should swing open, revealing a secret passage. Follow this along to reach the freezer. The hammer should be along

  2. Wait until a blackout.

    You need to wait until a blackout event happens. The signs for this triggering is the noise of a clock sounding midnight. Shortly after that, all the lights in the house will go out, and you’ll probably need to use the Flashlight to find your way around.

  3. Find The Child.

    Next, start wandering the house and listening our for noise. A creepy voice saying ‘Mama’ is the biggest tell. If you’ve not already met The Child, then you’re in for a treat. This creepy thing will walk around in the dark house, and call The Mother over to you if he’s give time.

  4. Hit the doll with the Hammer.

    Once you’ve located The Child then hurry over and hit the horrible doll with the Hammer. If you’re fast enough it shouldn’t have time to start summoning The Mother over. The head should fall off.

  5. Pick up the Baby Head.

    You can now drop the Hammer and pick up the Baby Head item, which falls off when you take out The Child.

  6. Take the Baby Head to the shelf in the TV room and place it in the empty space.

    Easy enough. (As long as you avoid The Mother on the way.)

What Do You Get For Completing The Puzzle?

Once you’ve placed the Baby Head item into the spot on the shelf, the cabinet itself should move away, revealing a secret room behind it. This room has both one of the numbers you’ll need for the Tea Party Room puzzle, and the key to the Attic, a room that will present you with the quest to return the big doll’s eye. (Which you need to complete the Tea Party Room puzzle to finish, too.)
