04 Feb Mobile Gaming Subnautica: Below Zero Is Coming to Mobile, Pre-Registration Now Open February 4, 2026 Posted by GataGames Leave a comment Subnautica: Below Zero is coming to mobile. The game first launched in early access for PC in 2019, and the full release followed later in 2021. Meanwhile, the prequel Subnautica launched on mobile in July last year. The games’ developer is Unknown Worlds Entertainment, an independent studio acquired by Krafton in 2021. On mobile, both Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero are published by Unknown Worlds. So, what’s new in Below Zero? As the name suggests, it’s going to be freezing under the water. Set on the alien ocean world of Planet 4546B, you experience a new sub-zero expedition across one of its most hostile regions. After a crash landing on the planet’s surface, the journey pushes you into frigid waters as you attempt to piece together what happened to your sister. Her disappearance is the major plot of the story. Unlike the tropical seas of the original game, this adventure unfolds in the Arctic zone of the new planet. Here, cold is a constant threat alongside the dangers lurking below the surface. You move through new biomes with unfamiliar creatures, environmental hazards, and discoveries that expand on mysteries first hinted at in Subnautica. Questions surrounding the aliens who once arrived on the planet, their purpose there, and the truth behind the sister’s fate are gradually uncovered. Managing body temperature is just as important as oxygen. You’ll have to craft a cold suit, drink hot coffee, and rely on Thermal Lilies to keep from succumbing to the chill. Resource gathering and crafting lets you build large habitats and fabricate tools to endure the harsh environment. Travel options have also expanded in Subnautica: Below Zero Mobile. The Snowfox hoverbike enables fast movement across snowy tundra. And the modular Seatruck is a customisable vehicle for navigating both enchanting and dangerous underwater regions. Subnautica: Below Zero is now available for pre-registration on mobile. So, head over to the Google Play Store; it arrives on March 10th, 2026.
