Ridiculous Fishing-Like New Title Totally Fishy Lands on Android

Totally Fishy is a light-hearted cartoonish fishing game. Made by indie developer Krang, it’s inspired by fishing games like Ridiculous Fishing. It’s more of a fishing RPG rather than a straightforward mobile fishing game.

Totally Fishy is a progression-heavy adventure

You start by grabbing your rod, upgrading the boat, and roaming colourful seas. There, you’ll explore treasure hunts, odd encounters, and fishing duels.

The game is exploration and growth heavy. New areas gradually open up, and each one promises fish that are bigger, stranger, and often more ridiculous than what came before.

Along the way, you’re catching fish of all shapes and sizes, digging up treasure maps, and cracking open loot-filled chests. All of these steadily improve your gear until the setup starts to resemble that of a seasoned legend.

The ocean itself becomes a playground, full of hidden fishing spots and surprises waiting beneath the surface. One-on-one fishing duels put you directly against rival anglers.

Each outing starts off feeling straightforward. Diving for lost loot, clashing with rival anglers, and expanding an ever-growing collection of rods and reels is what makes up the game.

The presentation leans fully into cartoon visuals, with bright graphics. The tone is deliberately silly, self-aware, and committed to humour.

On the other hand, depth in Totally Fishy is not only about the cast. Avoiding both fish and obstacles on the way down is essential, since perfect casts only provide protection for part of the descent.

You need to push as far down as possible by managing every hazard along the way. Even with tools like a bubble active, dodging remains critical once that protection disappears.

There are exclusive areas to unlock

Sludgewater Tunnels sends you underground, trading open seas for slimy passageways filled with unfamiliar fish and unique challenges. There, you’ll also find the mysterious Sludgejaw and a new boat – The Bathlantic.
