Dead By Daylight Is Getting A Balatro Crossover Featuring (A) Joker

In February 2025, Balatro introduced a handful of Dead by Daylight-themed cards for its Friends of Jimbo 4 update. Now, almost one year later, the madness of Balatro is invading Dead by Daylight for a second crossover collaboration.

Behaviour Interactive announced the upcoming Dead by Daylight x Balatro collab during a livestream about its current Stranger Things crossover. The new collaboration will give The Unknown–one of the first original killers in Dead by Daylight–a makeover inspired by Balatro’s Madness Joker. The result is The Unknown Madness.

The Unknown Madness will be released for free via redeemable codes on February 20. It’s just a new cosmetic as opposed to a new character, but it is unsettling to look at, especially if you’ve ever been afraid of clowns.

Behaviour Interactive recently solicited player feedback for a new original killer and a fresh hero for Dead by Daylight. Although the voting period is over, the entire chapter is being created in collaboration with the game’s players and there will be more voting rounds that will determine the final shape of the characters and their story.

As for Balatro, it had a Vampire Survivors crossover collaboration last October. Balatro developer LocalThunk has pushed back the game’s next big update, in part because he’s still working on it by himself. LocalThunk also confirmed that he didn’t 100% complete his own game until the middle of last year.
