SILT Is Now Available on Mobile, with Its Eerie Underwater Puzzles Tapping Straight into Thalassaphobia!

Snapbreak Games has launched the full version of SILT on mobile. Following its earlier release on PC and console, the underwater puzzle-adventure is now on Android. Known for its unsettling deep-sea atmosphere, the title is developed by UK indie studio Spiral Circus.

A surreal ocean abyss

You are alone in a vast underwater abyss. You’re a diver passing through dangerous waters in search of long-forgotten mysteries hidden far below the surface.

Progress depends on interacting with the environment, where you possess nearby sea creatures. By transferring control to these strange animals, you can solve environmental puzzles.

It also helps you navigate areas that would otherwise be inaccessible, gradually descending further into the darkness. Along the way, nature appears twisted into bizarre forms, with strange organisms, unexplored ruins, and ancient machinery beneath the water’s surface.

The world in SILT is presented in an unsettling monochrome style. Visuals are constructed from the sketches and dark imagination of artist Mr. Mead. Giant deep-sea goliaths stand in the diver’s path.

Surviving encounters with the massive creatures is part of uncovering what lies at the centre of the abyss in SILT

While it is not an outright horror, the side-scrolling puzzle with its eldritch setting and oppressive sense of scale can be unsettling, especially for players with a fear of deep water.

With its vague, wordless approach to storytelling and progression, SILT may not appeal to all kinds of players. The game heavily favours discovery through trial, observation, and atmosphere.

On mobile, the devs have optimised the game for touch controls while preserving its slow, deliberate pacing and sense of immersion. You can access a free demo section and later unlock the full game from the Google Play Store.
