Dignitas announces emergency subs following FBI and IgNar visa issues

North American esports organisation Dignitas has announced it will field two temporary subs, ADC player David ‘Mobility‘ Rigley and support Brindon ‘Breezy‘ Keesey, at the start of the LCS season.

Announced through social media, the team explained that the emergency substitutes will play immediately, following visa issues for its starting bot lane duo Ian Victor ‘FBI‘ Huang and Lee ‘IgNar‘ Dong-geun.

According to the statement, both Mobility and Breezy will be filling in on week one of the LCS Lock-In, which is set to start this weekend. The Global Contract Database states that both players are contracted until March 2nd, the day after the LCS Lock-In tournament ends.

In the lead-up to the event, several LCS teams have been encountering visa issues with players. Last week, LYON brought in former 100 Thieves top laner Niship ‘Dhokla’ Doshi to the roster following issues with Frankie ‘Zamudo’ Lin’s visa application, delaying his arrival to the team.

Aside from LYON, Shopify Rebellion also confirmed that its new mid laner, Yoo ‘Zinie’ Baek-jin, only arrived in the United States this past Monday, forcing the team to practice an entire month with stand-in David ‘Insanity’ Challe.

The recent visa delays stem from the US administration’s crackdown on immigration, which recently suspended immigrant visa processing for 75 countries and is also affecting employment-based visas, which non-resident players are required to have to compete in the LCS.

Dignitas have picked up two players from the North American Challengers League (NACL). Mobility plays for Winthrop University, while Breezy had just joined Convinction as its support for the 2026 season.

The two players, however, played together for a split back in the summer of 2024 on AOE Esports, with mixed results. The team came last in the regular season with no wins, but was then able to maintain its spot in the league after dominating the NACL Promotion tournament.

The two players will have their debut match against LYON on Sunday. Based on the tournament format, teams will play a Swiss Stage consisting of three rounds and best-of-three matches.
