Karmine Corp and MIBR have continued their strong starts in this year’s Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) season with victories in the second regional opens for the RLCS Boston Major.

The French esports organisation secured victory in Europe, while the Brazilian organisation won its first South American open of the season.

Karmine Corp Dominance Continues

Having won the first online open and the Kick-Off Weekend, Karmine Corp has cemented its place as one of Europe’s powerhouses. A flawless 3-0 record in Group B booked its place in the upper bracket quarter finals, with victories over Gentle Mates and NOVO Esports securing a place in the playoffs.

2 Danes 1 Bruv came close to knocking Karmine Corp into the lower bracket, with all seven matches needed to determine the winner. After a back-and-forth contest, the French organisation secured a 4-3 victory, setting up an all-French clash with Team Vitality in the semi-finals.

Team Vitality opened the semi-finals with a 3-2 victory, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a superior Karmine Corp, which won four straight matches for a 4-1 series win to book its place in the Grand Final once again.

The Grand Final saw Ninjas in Pyjamas give the defending European Open winners a run for its money. Three consecutive wins in a row gave Ninjas in Pyjamas a convincing 3-1 lead, but Karmine Corp answered back with three wins of its own, taking game seven 2-1 after two minutes of overtime to secure a 4-3 series victory to win its second Open of 2026.

MIBR Rises To Top

MIBR came close to reaching the pinnacle of South American Rocket League after finishing the first Open event, placing second behind a dominant FURIA roster. However, the second Open began with MIBR comfortably securing a place in bracket play, scoring three victories during the Swiss stage.

A 3-1 victory over Fear of God in the quarter-final, followed by a 3-0 sweep of Three Point Shooters in the semi-finals, locked in a playoff place.

MIBR continued its strong form in the upper bracket quarter-finals, comfortably defeating Team Secret 4-0 to advance to the semi-finals, where Amethyst would await. Despite Amethyst taking an early lead, MIBR secured victory with a hard-fought 4-3 scoreline to earn another appearance in an RLCS Open Grand Final.

Despite defeat to MIBR, Team Secret scored a surprise 4-1 victory over Open 1 champions FURIA, setting up an upper bracket semi-final rematch. Similar to the semis, Team Secret opened the series with a win before MIBR answered back in games two and three to take the lead. A win in game four kept Team Secret in contention before 2-1, and 3-2 wins closed out a 4-2 series victory for MIBR.

What Next For Rocket League Esports?

As a result of winning Open 2 in Europe and South America, Karmine Corp and MIBR top their regional standings with 33 and 25 points, respectively.

After winning the Kick-Off Weekend, Karmine Corp has already booked its place at the Boston Major, while MIBR looks to secure qualification with another strong performance in the third Open, taking place from January 23rd to February 1st.
