The sequel introduces a changed art style, new gameplay mechanics, multiple new modes, and a much larger environment Take a look at the Subway Surfers sequel here! As you can see, it’s a refreshed take on the original Subway Surfers. Unlike the original’s globe-trotting World Tour structure, Subway Surfers City brings the action back to a single setting. The city is a modern, multicultural metropolis and serves as the central hub of the Subway Surfers universe. At launch, you’ll be able to unlock and race through four different districts. They are The Docks, Southline, Sunrise Blvd, and Delorean Park. SYBO has also stated that the city will continue to grow over time, as each new Season will add neighbourhoods with new characters, outfits, and hoverboards. During runs, you can make use of speed pads to boost progress, perform a stomp move to reveal hidden advantages, and activate a bouncy shield that enhances jumping abilities. These are just some of the examples of new features in Subway Surfers City. The Subway Surfers sequel also marks the first time the franchise offers three distinct game modes. Classic Endless returns the familiar high-speed runner format. City Tour asks you to move through levels with specific goals. As you run from the Guard and Dog, you can earn XP to unlock new areas of the city, stomp and jump to uncover secrets like hard-to-reach Secret Stars. Lastly, events offer rotating finite runs and trials. All modes let you experiment with different combinations of surfers and boards. Familiar faces such as Jake, Tricky, Fresh, and Yutani are there guide you through new adventures. Subway Surfers City will be playable offline.
