HandyGames has released Way of the Hunter – Wild Europe on mobile. This version is a full mobile adaptation of the simulation originally developed by Nine Rocks Games, mirroring its PC and console counterparts.

You hunt in Eastern Europe, particularly in the hunting regions of Transylvania and its surrounding landscapes. Ancient forests often wrapped in mist sit alongside open grasslands bathed in sunlight. Meanwhile, mountainous terrain and deep valleys form a single continuous open world.

Rather than treating these locations as static backdrops, the environment is designed to feel active and reactive, encouraging players to observe their surroundings closely and adapt to conditions as they change.

Way of the Hunter – Wild Europe has a structure around a living ecosystem where animals behave according to natural patterns. You can track 15 distinct species, with detailed animations and behaviours influenced by factors such as wind direction, weather shifts, and time of day.

Encounters can range from spotting red deer moving through valley meadows to watching chamois navigate steep rocky cliffs. Or cautiously following signs left behind by predators like the brown bear. Other wildlife includes wild boar, mouflon, golden jackals, and graylag geese, each occupying specific biomes across the map.

Way of the Hunter – Wild Europe features advanced ballistics, real-time wind physics, and a full 24-hour day and night cycle. You have access to professional tools from the Way of the Hunter franchise, such as blood trail analysis, the Hunter Sense ability, and a rewindable bullet camera.
