2026 is here. If you resolution is to play more Android games (it better be) then we’re eager to help you. TAs the new year rolls in, we’re tackling the upcoming android games of 2026 that we’re particularly excited about.

For titles that are already out, we’ve also put together a list of the best Android games of 2025.

The Most Exciting Upcoming Games Of 2026 (Maybe)

None of these are guaranteed, as developers tend to be pretty cagey about what they’re offer, but we’ve done our best to round up a few that seem to be geared up to go in the next 12 months. We haven’t had a chance to play (the Android version) of any of these, so we’re more or less going on what we think looks interesting.

If they wind up not as good as we’d like them to be, we’ll be as disappointed as you.

Don’t Starve Together

The development has had a lot of ups and downs. Initially, Netflix was set to act as a publisher for the new port, but they dropped out of the project. (This might be good news to some readers!) Instead, it appears Playdigious and Klei are still working on the mobile release. Hopefully we’ll see it this year!

Vampire Crawlers

If you’ve read much of our genre content you might have seen us praising Poncle’s Vampire Survivors. The title has managed to do what so many mobile games don’t… deliver a free-to-play experience that didn’t feel vaguely frustrating. Now, Poncle’s new title, a first-person, card-based dungeon crawler with Vampire Survivors flavour is on the horizon. We cannot wait.

Rust Mobile

Another port coming this year, Rust Mobile saw its Beta phase arrive in December 2025 to a lot of interest and uptake. The PC version has been around for a minute these days, but we would love to see it make the jump. This survival game

Pokémon Champions

Pokémon games can be a little hit or miss, but we must admit we’re at least casually intrigued by this upcoming title that’s focused around arena battles. It’s cross-platform, and appears to let you import your own Pokémon from other titles via Pokémon Home, so this might be a title that successfully bridges the gap between mobile titles and the ‘main’ series on Switch.

Aniimo

Speaking of Pokémon… oh, sorry… things that are definitely nothing like Pokemon, there’s Aniimo. This monster-catching game looks extremely visually polished, and along with collecting a huge range of cut creatures, it gives you the ‘Twine’ feature that lets you control the Aniimo directly, and use its skills to deal with environmental obstacles.

If the game can fulfil the promise it’s making, we can’t wait to play it.

Chrono Odyssey

Free to play RPGs are easy to find, and some bring some pretty good experience if you’re not easily swayed by the gacha siren song, but if you’re anything like us you might be suffering a bit of fatigue over the mihoyo-esque brightly colored titles that seem to dominate. Chrono Odyssey on the other had looks far further into dark fantasy territory, with grizzled barbarians wielding big axes, blood-spattered armor, and armies of eldritch horrors.

If the monetization isn’t totally obnoxious, this one could become a must-try.
