Platform Shooter Shotgun Joe – Love & Monsters Brings Arcade Action with Humour to Android

Shotgun Joe – Love & Monsters has launched on Android. It’s the fifth title from the Greek mobile games studio Gameaki. Their previous titles include Trivia Quiz, Trains Puzzle – railroads game, Block Puzzle Game – Fast Chick and Match 3 Racing – Space Runner.

Shotgun Joe – Love & Monsters is a funny 2D platform shooter

A fast-moving 2D platform shooter, the game offers an arcade-style design. The devs have put an emphasis on straightforward controls, colourful presentation, and stages that require careful timing and accuracy.

The game offers tons of humorous instances. It pairs a light narrative with action inspired by classic side-scrolling shooters and retro arcade games. You play as Shotgun Joe, a small-town character. His priorities are clearly defined by his devotion to his fiancée Annabel and his attachment to his shotgun.

The setup begins with a sudden alien invasion, during which Annabel is abducted by a flying saucer. Left behind is a strange alien teleportation device that Joe hopes will help him give chase. But the machine is broken, turning what could have been a quick rescue into a globe-spanning pursuit.

To repair the device and track down Annabel, Joe must travel across the globe in search of missing parts. Each location introduces different enemies, hazards, and combat situations, with dangerous worlds full of monsters and other threats.

The worlds Joe travels through are themed to create distinct challenges and visual variety. Levels include zombie-infested platform shooter areas, monster-filled gothic worlds, dinosaur shooter stages, and alien invasion battlegrounds.
