The newly-formed G2 NORD will compete in the Prime League, the European Regional League (ERL) for DACH, to build a roster capable of contending at the top of the table and achieving strong results at EMEA Masters. German insurance company LVM Versicherung is supporting the project as a founding partner. According to a blog post published by the organisation, the company is helping invest ‘in the future of rising League of Legends talent in Germany’. “From the very beginning, G2 has always had the ambition to build a truly global organisation, one that captures hearts and minds of fans all over the world,” said Alban Dechelotte, CEO of G2 Esports. “This project is about reconnecting, listening, and building something that German fans can truly call their own. Our hope is that through G2 NORD, even more fans in Germany will feel fully part of the G2 Army.” The G2 NORD project will be spearheaded by former League of Legends player Niklot ‘Tolkin‘ Stüber, who will act as President of the team. G2 NORD’s roster is as follows: Francesco ‘Shelfmade‘ Cardia Mark ‘Markoon‘ van Woensel Alex ‘Toasty‘ Chea Khalil ‘Rin‘ Sahraoui Timo ‘Tockimo‘ Bock G2 Esports And League Of Legends The organisation is a stalwart of the European League of Legends scene, competing in the highest tier of competition since 2014 under the Gamers2 banner. Recently, the organisation disbanded G2 Hel, its women’s League of Legends team, following three years of success in European competitions. Armed with a roster equipped with experience and potential to grow, it will be interesting to see how G2 NORD performs against the Prime League’s established names.
