How To Survive The Scary Shawarma Kiosk: The Anomaly Narrator Event

To be clear, there are a few different paths you might take in The Narrator. We’re running over the one that let

The Narrator Begins

It’s easy to tell when The Narrator event starts, because you will see subtitles and hear a voice narrating the ‘story’ of your situation, running a shawarma kiosk on a snowy night. You don’t need to freak out about it. Complete anything you need to finish and get ready for the events to follow.

The Customer

A customer will show up at the window. The Narrator will go into detail about how suspiciously normal he looks, but insist you close the shutter on him anyway. When we tested, we decided to do this. The shutter will close. It will appear that the customer will just leave… but that’s not the case. If you check outside you’ll see that something is wrong around the back of the kiosk.

The Fire

The Narrator will insist that you don’t go outside. You don’t have to listen, though. Grab the fire extinguisher to the right of the door. Wait for The Narrator to finish talk. Head outside, wait for The Narrator to finish talking again. Then, interact with the flaming dumpster. Hold the interaction command down until you put the fire out.

Despite The Narrator trying to scare you, the customer you turned away isn’t lurking outside waiting for you, and once the fire is done the event will end, and you can go back inside. You’ll also get the ‘Defy Fate’ achievement. Congratulations.
