Dota 2 world champion AdmiralBulldog puts TI 2013 ring up for sale

Former Dota 2 professional player Henrik ‘AdmiralBulldog‘ Per Karl Ahnberg has revealed that he has put his championship ring, earned from winning The International 2013, up for sale.

Alliance emerged victorious at The International 13 years ago, defeating NAVI 3-2 in a thrilling five-game Grand Final to secure Dota 2’s most prestigious trophy. Alongside the championship rings and the Aegis of Champions, the team also took home $1.4m (~£1.03m) in prize money.

In 2016, AdmiralBulldog retired from competitive Dota 2, bringing an end to a storied career. He holds the record for the most matches played on Nature’s Prophet, competing in 235 matches and scoring 155 wins with the hero.

“Yes, the listing is real. No, it’s not being sold out of desperation,” revealed AdmiralBulldog on social media. “It’s just a ring, an awesome ring. I love the ring, but I believe its monetary value exceeds the sentimental value.”

The listing has already generated a wealth of interest from fans and potential buyers. At the time of writing, 88 users are watching the auction, which will conclude on January 10th. The ring has a starting price of $70,000 (~£51,792) and no bids have been placed on it so far.

During his time representing Alliance, AdmiralBulldog won several high-profile tournaments in addition to The International in 2013. His most recent victory came in October 2023 in Alliance’s Stadskampen tournament, where he earned 10,000 kr (~£805) in prize money.

Following his retirement from professional play, the Swedish player turned his hand to becoming a broadcast talent, appearing as an analyst and commentator at multiple events between 2017 and 2020.

AdmiralBulldog continues to represent Alliance as a content creator, streaming Dota 2 and various other titles on his Kick channel.

The sale of his championship ring provides fans with a unique opportunity to own a rare piece of esports history. With the starting price already in the tens of thousands, its value is expected to increase as the auction nears its end.
