How To Play Terminal 13: Not Human

The Basics

In Terminal 13, you are a passport officer at an airport in an unknown country. Your job is to meet prospective travelers on arrival, check their passports, and make sure they are who they say they are. You do this by asking them questions.

If they’re regular people, they head on through to the terminal and everything is fine.

If they’re not people… bad things will happen.

Questioning A Traveler

When travelers show up at the desk, they will scan their digital passport, which shows up on the screen to the right of the desk. The passport should have the following information on the person.

  • Their picture.
  • Their photo.
  • Their date of birth.
  • Their country of origin.
  • Their job.
  • The duration of their visit.
  • The reason for their visit.

Your job is to make sure the information matches the person in front of you by asking a few questions.

  • Origin? – The country they originally came from.
  • Duration? – The amount of time they’re here for.
  • Job? – What’s their occupation?
  • Reason? – Why are they visiting?

You should also check that the photo matches, and that they don’t have any weird features, either.

If they seem normal, and answer all the questions correctly, then let them through using the button on the left of the desk.

If they answer wrong, or look off, then there’s a shotgun under the desk, and you should solve the problem using that. Then go get the mop to clean up all the puddles of green shapeshifter goo left on the floor.

If You Let One In

If you accidentally let an Impostor through the gate, you’ll receive a different kind of visitor at the end of the shift. This one isn’t even pretending to be human. The monster will come into the terminal, and try to kill you.

Everything isn’t lost, though. If you can fight the thing off by doing enough damage, you can survive to the next shift.

Items

Each visitor you process earns you some money. What’s the money for? Well, there’s a terminal on one side where you can buy helpful items. Once you’ve ordered it, it will arrive a short time later through the chute at the back of the office.

  • Blunderbuss – A powerful weapon with limited uses. Helpful if the monster is coming.
  • Land Mine – Damages the monster and pushes it away.
  • Music Box – Distracts the monster for a short time if it’s attacking.
  • Scanner – Lets you scan visitors to help find impostors. Limited uses.

Events

From time to time, you’ll get extra events you need to attend to. Here are a few you might see.

  • False Alarm – The lights will turn red and begin to flash. You don’t need to do anything. It should sort itself out.
  • Check The Bathroom – Go over to the door and open it to check inside. Something will peer out of the stall at you.
  • Power Cut – The power goes down. You’ll need to go into the back and activate the generator.
  • Check The Box – There’s a box in the area in front of the office. Go over and open it, and it starts leaking green gas. You’ll need to hurry to the back, through the office, to the lever to reset the ventilation.
