Pikmin Bloom Celebrates New Year 2026 with the Osechi Decor Pikmin

As 2025 winds down, Pikmin Bloom is setting up its first event of 2026 with a theme rooted in Japanese tradition. From January 1st, 2026, to January 31st, 2026, you’ll see Osechi Decor Pikmin appear in the game.

The Osechi Decor Pikmin draws inspiration from osechi, the Japanese New Year meal. It’s traditionally prepared in advance and eaten during the first three days of the year, starting on New Year’s Day.

Each dish in osechi carries a symbolic meaning associated with health and good fortune. So, the same idea carries over into the event as you look back on your 2025 activity through the Lifelog. And alongside that, you can also plan how to fill 2026 with new memories alongside your Pikmin.

What’s in store during the Osechi Decor Pikmin event?

Throughout January, Osechi Decor will be available across all Pikmin types, including Ice Pikmin. Also, Party Popper 2025 and 2024 Glasses Decor Pikmin are returning. You can clear the Event Challenge missions to grab random items.

The rewards can include Koma Spinning Tops, seedlings that grow into Osechi Decor Pikmin, flower petals, and other items. There is also a guaranteed bonus, as whenever the Big Flower at the centre of the stage blooms, you’ll receive a Gold Seedling.

And as usual, the Magnificent Mushrooms are also appearing during the event period. Destroying them yields Mystery Boxes that contain Koma Spinning Tops and seedlings for Party Popper 2025 Decor Pikmin. Certain decor types perform better in these encounters, with Osechi, Party Popper 2025, 2024 Glasses, and 2023 Glasses Decor Pikmin being the strongest options to send into battle.

During the weekends, Giant Magnificent Mushrooms may appear. These larger targets contain a rare type of Mystery Box. And weekend play also increases coordination opportunities by allowing the Mushroom Battle Bullhorn to be used up to 3 times a day.

So, grab the game from the Google Play Store to collect the Osechi Decor Pikmin. Happy New Year!
