How to Catch a Fisch Bloop Fish – and Why You Need One

There are many reasons you may want to catch a Fisch Bloop Fish, but be prepared, as it’s no easy task. This guide explains how to catch one, the preferences it has, and why you need it.

How to Catch a Fisch Bloop Fish

The only way to catch a Bloop Fish is during a Bloop Fish Hunt. This is one of the Apex Fish Hunts, and has around a 9% chance to replace a Fish Abundance. Or, you can force it to happen using a Bloop Whistle, which you can get from completing Angler Quests or from the Daily Shop.

When it spawns, it will either appear as a Bloop Fish Hunt or a Baby Bloop Fish Hunt. These hunts have the chance to appear at the following locations:

• Past the Arch
  • X: 1185, Y: 127, Z: -1784
• In the Ocean
  • X: 2464, Y: 127, Z: -1284
  • X: -2731, Y: 127, Z: -1087
• Close to Sunstone Island
  • X: -1631, Y: 127, Z: -708
• Close to Harvesters Spike
  • X: -1796, Y: 127, Z: 1308

Only one player can catch a Bloop Fish per hunt, so it’s a race against any other players in your server! You do have the option to play in a private server, but these cost Robux. However, if you are in a private server, you won’t have the stress of racing to catch it against the other players who are also trying to catch it.

Bloop Fish Preferences

Despite only being able to catch a Bloop Fish during a Bloop Fish Hunt, it has the following preferences:

• Weather: Rain
• Time: Night
• Season: Autumn
• Bait: Luminous Larva

Why Do You Need a Bloop Fish?

The most obvious reason you need to catch this fish is to complete the bestiary. It’s also fun to show off, as a Bloop Fish is one of the Apex fish, which are tough catches!

However, you also need a Bloop Fish if you want to obtain the Fisch Astraeus Serenade rod. More specifically, you need to catch a Breezed Bloop Fish as one of the quests from Astraeus.

For this, you need the Breezed Mutation. You have a 30% chance to catch something with this mutation using the Wind Elemental Rod. Or, there is a 8% chance with the Astraeus Serenade.
