The move follows gla1ve’s recent departure from Scandinavian esports organisation ENCE and the end of his playing career. Announced on December 19th, 2025, gla1ve is the latest piece in 100 Thieves’ Counter-Strike operations, which were revealed on November 11th. For gla1ve, becoming the organisation’s coach is his first time taking on the role after a 15-year playing career. During his time as a player, gla1ve won four Major titles as part of the Astralis roster, which dominated Counter-Strike: Global Offensive between 2016 and 2020. 100 Thieves is set to return to Counter-Strike in 2026 with rain as the team’s in-game leader. The return marks the first time since 2020 that the organisation has competed in Valve’s first-person shooter title, after parting ways with its all-Australian roster. A Statement Of Intent For 100 Thieves The signing of Gla1ve as Head Coach is a statement of intent for 100 Thieves as it looks to cement its place among the established names within the Counter-Strike ecosystem. Armed with a wealth of experience as an in-game leader, the Dane has the potential to assemble a roster capable of competing in high-profile events. Apart from Gla1ve and rain, 100 Thieves has yet to reveal its full Counter-Strike roster for the upcoming season. A Dust2.dk report claims former Astralis player Nicolai ‘device‘ Reedtz is expected to join rain on the starting lineup, but it remains to be seen which players will represent one of North America’s biggest organisations.
