Russian Counter-Strike 2 player Abdul ‘Degster‘ Gasanov has announced his free agency ahead of the 2026 season.

The AWPer represented the Saudi Arabian esports organisation between January and April, before spending the last eight months on the bench.

Announced on December 17th, 2025, Degster revealed that Team Falcons terminated his contract, allowing him to explore options during the off-season. The termination of the contract brings an end to a year-long tenure with the organisation.

Degster joined Team Falcons in January as part of the former HEROIC core alongside Damjan ‘kyxan‘ Stoilkovski and René ‘TeSeS‘ Madsen, providing the organisation with plenty of Valve Regional Standings (VRS) points.

“Today, I officially announce that I am becoming a free agent and ready to consider offers from other teams,” said Degster on social media. “My contract with the Falcons has been terminated, and I can confidently say that I have a tireless desire to work to achieve success with a new team and organisation.”

During his time on the starting lineup, Team Falcons started finding its feet on the international stage following a top-16 finish at IEM Katowice 2025. The team finished second to MOUZ at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 before scoring its first Tier 1 victory at PGL Bucharest 2025.

What’s Next for Degster?

With the likes of GamerLegion and Ninjas in Pyjamas making moves ahead of the new season, Degster will have plenty of options when it comes to looking for a new organisation to represent.

The AWPer has built a wealth of experience throughout his seven-year playing career, and could inject a breath of fresh air into any roster looking to recruit a player with Tier 1 event experience.
