Sengodai is a tactical roguelike deckbuilder from Tsunoa Games. The Spanish indie video game studio’s first mobile game was Katana Dragon. With a taste for retro games, the studio creates titles that combine Asian culture with Spanish and other European cultures.

Monster collection is key in Sengodai

Sengodai brings elemental control and repeated runs through a constantly shifting campaign structure. You assemble a team of Gokai monsters and guide them across diverse worlds to challenge and defeat cursed gods.

Each session plays out as a self-contained journey where paths branch, encounters change, and new combinations emerge. It all depends on the cards, creatures, and abilities you collect along the way.

The game features a campaign mode spread across 5 worlds, while adventure mode offers replayability. They are supported by randomly generated world paths that can include different duels, merchants, and sculptors. So, no two runs follow the same route.

Sengodai revolves around a system of reducing an opponent’s life tower to zero. You command a team of 3 Gokai led by a God, using a deck made up of Element cards and Spell cards to control the board.

You use Element cards to charge Gokai with power, allowing them to purify cursed lands during battle. Each purification reduces a Gokai’s stamina by 1, and when a Gokai’s stamina reaches 0, it becomes stunned for 1 turn.

Sengodai includes 5 Gods, with 4 unlockable over the course of play. Alongside them are 20+ Gokai cards to collect and evolve. You also get 40+ Spell cards that can be drawn from opponents or purchased from an enigmatic merchant.
