13 Dec Mobile Gaming Open-World Creature-Catching RPG Aniimo Opens Registration for Its Second Closed Beta December 13, 2025 Posted by GataGames Leave a comment Kingsglory and Pawprint Studio are rolling out the second closed beta for their creature-catching RPG Aniimo, soon. It will be held in early 2026 for mobile, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. Right now, registration for the upcoming CBT is open for players worldwide. The team used their stage time at The Game Awards 2025 to push the RPG into the spotlight. To announce the second closed beta, they dropped a new trailer for Aniimo. It gives a glimpse of what players can expect for the next phase. Several new Aniimo, including the fluffy Fentuft and its evolved form Fenmane, will be available. Also includes Momand, who seems perfectly content performing for a crowd of Pomeggs. The video also reveals Cubbo, a hot-tempered creature waiting as the boss Aniimo in a new region tucked inside Idyll’s sprawling map. Watch the new trailer here! What’s Aniimo? The RPG mixes open-world exploration with a Twining mechanic. Twining lets Pathfinders (players) merge with any Aniimo, for traversal, combat, or any odd problem-solving moments. Another unique feature is the Homeland system. It expands the relationship between Pathfinders and their Aniimo beyond battles and exploration. You’ll gather at RV campsites to socialise, then use those RVs as an entry point to your evolving base. The Homeland mixes an amusement-park vibe for the Aniimo with more grounded elements like crop-growing and farming. Then, there’s Operation: Egg Heist. It’s a team-based mode that drops Pathfinders onto an island to snatch as many eggs as possible while dodging wild enemy Aniimo. Choosing the right lineup before heading in will matter.
