According to a release, the goal of the new HQ is to help the company expand in the MENA market, where it aims to work with local gaming and esports companies. The move has been made possible through a partnership with Abu Dhabi Gaming. Headquartered in Bangalore, India, EsportsXO is an esports company that creates SaaS (Software as a service) solutions for tournament organisers. Interestingly, the company also has a roster of creators and influencers and is one of the faster-growing Indian esports companies. Entry into the MENA market is made possible through a partnership with Abu Dhabi Gaming, a government-led initiative in the UAE that aims to help companies enter the UAE esports and gaming markets. The two partners noted that EsportsXO is the first tournament platform to be a part of the Abu Dhabi Gaming ecosystem, which now counts more than 100 companies in esports and gaming. According to EsportsXO, the new Abu Dhabi office will focus on regional esports programmes, partnerships with publishers and advertising. The two companies added that the partnership is “expected to create a significant amount of jobs over the next five years.” Marcos Muller-Habig, Director at Abu Dhabi Gaming, commented on the move: “We are excited to welcome XO to the Abu Dhabi Gaming ecosystem. Their expertise in esports tournaments and community building will play a crucial role in elevating Abu Dhabi’s position as a global gaming hub. “Together, we aim to shape the future of gaming in MENA while providing the platform for local and global talent to achieve the goal of enhancing the growth of Abu Dhabi Gaming’s ecosystem.” Ivan comes from Croatia, loves weird simulator games, and is terrible at playing anything else.
