The 1win Series Dota 2 Fall is the latest esports instalment by bookmaker 1win. Its third edition once again includes a $100,000 (~£79,000) prize pool and eight teams, with only one organisation ultimately walking out victorious.

The 1win Series Dota 2 Fall features a mixture of returning names and debutants, but who exactly are these competitors? Will Team Spirit make it two 1win Series victories in a row, or will a new name take the crown?

With coverage supported by 1win, Esports Insider takes a look at the competition’s line-up ahead of the playoffs from November 21st.

Team Liquid: A returning name from 1win Series Dota 2 Spring at the beginning of the year, Team Liquid arrives at the event as the current The International champions. Last time, the organisation only managed to achieve a third-place finish, however, with a newly won Aegis of Champions, Team Liquid has already managed to qualify for the playoffs with a 2-0 record. Not to be forgotten, Team Liquid also achieved a runners-up medal at Riyadh Masters 2024.

Gaimin Gladiators: The team that won Riyadh Masters 2024 was none other than Gaimin Gladiators. Fated to fight Team Liquid all year round, it was Gaimin Gladiators that claimed the silver medal at The International 2024. Alongside looking to avenge its Team Liquid loss, Gaimin Gladiators will be looking to perform better than its second place 1win Dota 2 Series Summer result.

Team Spirit: As last edition’s winners, Team Spirit will be looking to make it two 1win Series Dota 2 victories in a row. Following its win in the summer, the organisation has failed to achieve the same accolades as some of its other competitors. However, the organisation is fresh off the back of a third-place finish in DreamLeague Season 24, netting the organisation $120,000 as a result.

PARIVISION: Formed in 2022, the Russian esports organisation is making its debut in the 1win Dota 2 Series. This year the organisation’s most notable achievement has also come in the recently concluded DreamLeague Season 24, securing a respectable fourth place finish.

1win Team: 1win’s own esports division is back for the third edition. Created in February 2024, the hosts qualified for this year’s The International and recorded a decent run that ended in the Main Event Lower Bracket Round 2 to Team Falcons. The organisation was also only one win away from qualifying for next month’s ESL One Bangkok 2024.

Nigma Galaxy: Nigma Galaxy returns following its Group Stage exit in the second 1win Series Dota 2. Whilst the MENA-based organisation failed to make a major impact in this year’s DreamLeague Season 24 and PGL Wallachia Season 2, Nigma Galaxy is rounding out the year on a high having qualified for December’s ESL One Bangkok 2024.

Team Secret: Founded in 2014, Team Secret is yet another established organisation that is competing in 1win Series Dota 2 Fall. The organisation’s 2024 has been a rocky road following PGL Wallachia Season 1 in May. This includes not being able to qualify for Riyadh Masters 2024, The International and ESL One Bangkok 2024.

OG: The final 1win Series Dota 2 debutant is none other than 2018 and 2019 The International Champion, OG. 2024 is somewhat of a year to forget for the historic esports organisation, with its biggest Dota 2 performances coming during Riyadh Masters 2024.

1win Series Dota 2 Fall has already kicked off with its playoffs occurring November 21st and 22nd. The event will be broadcast live on Twitch and YouTube.
