The deal includes continued naming rights for the NRG Spectrum Castle, the organisation’s Los Angeles headquarters. The exclusive naming rights deal — first struck in 2023 — has been extended for the next three years. The continued collaboration will see Spectrum feature prominently on NRG’s esports jerseys. Moreover, the broadband provider’s services will be utilised at NRG’s LA headquarters and Culver City training facility. According to a release, the two companies are set to host an event series titled ‘Storm the Castle’ that will ‘transform the NRG Spectrum Castle into a fantasy factory of extraordinary gaming and entertainment experiences.’ The first event, set to be held across October 25th-26th, will feature a Minecraft-themed haunted house and musical performance by rapper KYLE. The event will allow fans the chance to visit the NRG Spectrum Castle themselves. NRG’s casual gaming brand Full Squad Gaming will also take part in activations as part of its ‘Gaming Tour of America’ initiative. According to the release, the programme will see NRG and Spectrum’s provide fans with live activations, influencer partnerships and content creation. On the partnership extension, Brandon Tortora, Head of Sales and Brand Partnerships at NRG, said: “What we’re creating isn’t just a sponsorship; it’s a revolution in how fans experience gaming and esports through Spectrum, the best Internet and WiFi choice for gamers. “The NRG Spectrum Castle will be more than a headquarters – it will be a must-visit destination for gamers. And with our Gaming Tour of America, we’re taking that magic on the road, interacting with fans and creating joyful moments in communities across the nation.” This marks NRG’s second events-focused partnership this month, having earlier announced a deal with hardware brand Intel to host the ‘Intel X NRG Night Market’.
