The new subsidiary aims to create partnerships between gamers and brands looking to embark on projects within the industry. Leagues Media will also take over operations of the Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC). Leagues.gg has collaborated with Riot Games to operate the NLC since January 2023. In addition to operating the NLC, the platform is most known across Nordic countries for organising grassroots esports leagues and tournaments in VALORANT, Counter-Strike and League of Legends. Grimborg possesses a wealth of experience within the gaming and esports industries. In addition to his time at Esportal, he was the Head of Gaming and Client Manager for media company We Are Era Nordics which specialises in influencer marketing and digital strategies. Founded in 2017, Leagues.gg has collaborated with the likes of Red Bull and peripherals manufacturer SteelSeries to run a range of activations during esports tournaments.
