Let’s talk about Jack, and hope we don’t conjure him up, every door is a risk.

About Jack

Jack resembles a spooky, skull-like face that lurks behind various doors throughout the Hotel and The Mines. On opening a door, either a room door or the door to a hiding place, Jack will pop out and give you a bit of a fright. He will also leave a strange impact on the room he manifested in if he appears at a room door, with everything appearing red and a bit off.

How To Deal With Jack

Now let’s go over how to handle Jack and his antics.

• The good news about Jack is that while he’s creepy he’s not actually harmful outside of very specific circumstances.
• If you want to find Jack to get the achievement, the easiest way is to keep opening wardrobes in The Hotel. There’s a roughly 1 in 200 chance that you’ll find Jack in one, so just keep it up and you’ll see him eventually.
• Jack cannot spawn under beds, so this hiding place is always free.
• To keep things fair, Jack will despawn in any room you’re in when Ambush or Rush spawns, so he can’t cheat you out of a hiding spot. But beware! Jack can spawn in any room beyond that one, even when Rush or Ambush are active, so try and hide in the same room to minimize risk.
