Right, now to answer the big questions.

What Is Shikai?

Shikai is the first awakening of your Zanpakuto, the trademark weapon of the Soul Reaper. Gaining your Shikai gives you access to a new set of special supernatural powers, and these will become extremely important in how you fight. The next stage of awakening your Zanpakuto is Bankai, but as far as we know that’s not in Paradox just yet.

How Do You Get Shikai?

You don’t start out with a working Shikai. Instead, you need to complete a series of tasks to awaken it. To get Shikai you must pick the Soul Reaper progression path.

Then you need to pass your exam, join a Division, and complete missions for the Shinigami in order to raise your potential. When you get to around 150-200 Potential you need to meditate and call the spirit of your Zanpakuto.

The spirit will give you three challenges. Two are pretty much the rhythm game. The third is a boss fight against the spirit. When you beat the boss, you are granted your Shikai to use.

What Shikai Does The Game Have?

Here are the Shikai currently confirmed in the game, along with your chance to get each one. Rarer doesn’t always mean better, but often devs hide the most powerful abilities at high rarity.

Common Shikai

Fire Shikai – 28.66% Chance To Roll
Shadow Shikai – 28.66% Chance To Roll
Wind Shikai – 28.66% Chance To Roll

Rare Shikai

Blood Shikai – 5% Chance To Roll
Lightning Shikai – 5% Chance To Roll

Legendary Shikai

Rampage Shikai – 0.33% Chance To Roll
Gravity Shikai – 0.33% Chance To Roll
Flower Shikai – 0.33% Chance To Roll
