The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) has teamed up with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang publisher of MOONTON Games to help bolster the integrity of mobile esports.

According to a release, the strategic partnership aims to ensure that mobile esports will have ‘fair play and ethical standards.’

The partnership will include information sharing, educational campaigns, policy development, risk management and the identification of emerging threats in the esports environment.

A further part of the partnership with see MOONTON Games become a member of ESIC’s Publisher Committee.

As part of the MoU, ESIC and MOONTON Games will look to develop policies that address the unique challenges of mobile esports. The two companies will identify potential risks in the growing mobile esports ecosystem and then work collaboratively to develop practices to solve these issues.

This follows an agreement between ESIC and the ESL FACEIT Group whereby the latter became the presenting partner of ESIC Global Esports Summit Atlanta 2024. Through these partnerships, ESIC looks to advance its mission of establishing integrity across esports, with this deal developing that integrity in the fast-growing mobile esports industry. ESIC previously established an advisory board with ESL and BLAST executives.

For MOONTON Games, this is not the first MoU that the company has signed to grow a sector within esports. The company previously signed a MoU with the Saudi Esports Federation to grow esports in Saudi Arabia and partnered with Qiddiya to expand the influence of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

Lucas Mao, Managing Director of Global Esports at MOONTON Games, stated: “Professionalism and integrity have always been cornerstones of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang competitive esports.

“By working together with ESIC, we are setting a new standard for fairness in esports and reaffirming our commitment to building a transparent and ethical gaming environment where excellence and integrity go hand in hand.”
