Ticket To Ride Releases New Expansion, Legendary Asia, With New Characters And Maps

Marmalade Game Studio just dropped a fresh update for Ticket to Ride with their latest expansion called Legendary Asia. Never tried this digital board game? Maybe this expansion will be a reason to do so. It’s their fourth major expansion.

Legendary Asia Is Coming To Ticket To Ride

The latest expansion lets you take a train ride through the stunning landscapes of Asia. There are also two new characters joining the adventure. First up, there’s Wang Ling, a divine opera singer. Then there’s Lê Chinh, a travelling artisan who’s probably seen more of Asia than most people.

With these two new characters, you’ll be riding on some pretty epic locomotives. You’ll be hopping aboard the Emperor, the Mountain Maiden and cruising in style with the Silk Zephyr carriage. And if you want a spiritual journey instead, take a ride in the Pagoda Pilgrim carriage.

Legendary Asia lets you move from one point to another with strategy. And there’s a new bonus to boot. The Asian Explorer Bonus rewards you for creating the longest routes and connecting the most cities. But only the first time you visit a city counts towards your points, so you’ll need to plan the routes carefully. No loops or detours, please!

Which Year Is It?

The new map is set in 1913. So, you’ll find a united Korea and India looking a bit different with its western provinces thrown into Bangladesh. Iraq’s pulled Kuwait into its fold, while Africa, the continent, has no borders at all. So, it’s quite a dive into history, at least geographically!
