The board, set to be available in late August for around £125, features low profile switches, an aluminium frame and a tenkeyless form factor. Hexgears is known for producing several high-quality budget keyboards in the past, notably the Impulse and Venture models. The Chinese brand was founded in 2015, and exclusively produces keyboards, with models ranging from custom boards to gaming and low profile models of different shapes. The new A3 model is set to be the company’s flagship as the highest-priced model in the company’s lineup. Hexgears have managed to equip the board with an impressive set of features considering the price, including a large 5800 mAh battery with a claimed life of around 50 hours, and both 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth connectivity. The board can also be connected and charged via USB-C. There is also a colour screen on the keyboard itself, used to control the lighting, macros and other features, as well as a physical rocker switch and physical buttons for quick input changes and access to additional features. In addition to this rather impressive feature set on paper, the A3 can also be further customised via the HexDrive software that the company offers.
