Obtained earlier in July, the licence allows the company to operate as a vendor in the state and supply its esports odds, data and products to approved local operators. PandaScore told Esports Insider that Colorado’s extensive esports regulatory framework for a variety of eligible esports titles for regular betting played a significant role in making the state its entry point into the NA market. Oliver Niner, Head of Sales at PandaScore, said: “The numbers are really good in Colorado – there are plenty of tier-one licensees to partner with, the legislation is clear and straightforward and esports is popular. This made it the ideal debut state for PandaScore…” The data provider plans to help existing local partners expand their esports offerings with competitive esportsbooks and PandaScore products, such as its Bet Builder and Player Props solutions. Niner also shared with Esports Insider that it would soon go live with its first partner operator. Moreover, PandaScore is looking for new partners: “We are already engaging with all licensed operators in Colorado to make them aware of our esports betting odds, data and products.” Looking ahead, Niner told Esports Insider that PandaScore plans to acquire licences in additional states, such as New Jersey and Ohio, throughout the upcoming months. Established in 2015, PandaScore provides teams, bookmakers, fantasy apps and media companies with AI-powered statistics and odds for popular esports titles, such as League of Legends, Counter-Strike, and Dota 2. Its partners include Brazilian esports news portal Mais Esports as well as bookmakers William Hill and LOOT.BET. Most recently, the data provider partnered with betting exchange Smarkets, which integrated PandaScore’s odds feed to elevate its esports products.
