As per Bellezza’s updated company bio, his new role of Executive Producer will see him “fostering a creative and supportive culture…dedicated to making League [of Legends] the top competitive game for generations.”

Initially joining Riot Games in 2006, Bellezza was one of the first developers to work on League of Legends in that same year. His contributions include work on champions, skins, in-game events and the store.

He most recently held the role of Director of Creative Game Production for League Studio, leading projects related to Netflix series ARCANE and mobile MOBA League of Legends: Wild Rift.

Bellezza’s move into the EP role sees him replace the outgoing Jeremy Brightman, who first announced he would be stepping down from the role in December 2023. In a more recent post on X, Brightman confirmed that he will be staying at the company, but will reveal his new role after a sabbatical.

On his new role as Executive Producer, Bellezza said: “I am thrilled to be returning to work on League of Legends as its Executive Producer.

“I am deeply honoured and ecstatic to be coming home to the game I know and love in order to help make amazing experiences for you all. I am at your service. For now, I will be busy catching up on all things League. See ya next time Summoners…oh wait…uh….we changed that. See ya players!”
