The deal will see Tele2 continue to partner with DreamHack Summer, whilst also expanding into DreamHack Stockholm. Tele2 is a well-known Swedish telecommunications company. Founded in 1993, Tele2 now operates in Sweden, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, but used to operate in the majority of European countries. Tele2 and DreamHack’s partnership was first agreed upon in 2016. The highlight of the renewal is the expansion to include DreamHack Stockholm as a new event. Tele2 will support the festival as its official supplier and broadband partner, along with DreamHack Summer. Tele2 will provide DreamHack with fibre connections that offer more than 20 Gbps of upstream and downstream, and will also work with the esports and gaming company on a gaming seminar. The seminar will focus on esports, gaming safety and inclusion during DreamHack Summer 2024. According to the two companies, the panellists will include esports professionals and industry insiders, the representatives of the local esports associations and others. DreamHack Summer is set to commence on June 14th and will feature the ESL Challenger tournament and the qualifiers for several Esports World Cup tournaments, including Tekken and EA FC 24. Jonas Lundquist, Marketing Director at Tele2, commented: “Tele2 is proud of our partnership with DreamHack. In addition to delivering world-class broadband speeds to festival participants, we organize our own tournaments to enhance the esports and gaming experience. By continuing this partnership, we want to introduce more people to all the entertainment available in both esports and gaming, which is incredibly exciting to work with.” Ivan comes from Croatia, loves weird simulator games, and is terrible at playing anything else.
