Talisman: Digital Edition Becomes Free Forever, While A New 5th Edition Is In The Making

Nomad Games has announced that they’re working on a brand new version of Talisman. This one’s going to be based on its 5th Edition of the classic board game from Avalon Hill. But the bigger news is that they’re making the current version of Talisman: Digital Edition FREE on both mobile and PC.

What’s New About That?

Well, if you’ve been following this game, you know that it’s been 10 years since it’s been around. And over the decade, the classic version has been offered for free on mobile through limited-time free downloads or giveaways. But this time, they’re making Talisman: Digital Edition free forever.

Removing the price tag is part of celebrating the upcoming Digital 5^th Edition. Nomad has even given the old one a new name – it’s now called Talisman: Digital Classic Edition. By making the base game free-to-play, they’re hoping that the game will reach out to a whole new audience again.

Talisman: Digital Edition will not undergo any changes after becoming free for everyone. All the expansions, characters and Legendary Decks will still be available, and you can buy them as and when you want (like before).

Ever Played Talisman?

Created by Games Workshop, it’s a legendary fantasy board game that first hit the scene way back in 1983. In the game, you embark on epic quests in a world full of dangerous enemies and gnarly challenges.

The great news is that the upcoming 5th Edition will throw in some amazing new artwork, redesigned figures and gameplay that’s more streamlined and accessible. It will drop on Steam for PC players sometime later this year. Other platforms might take a bit more time.
