Well, it’s preparing to shut its servers down soon. Developed by Alpha Dog Games and published by Bethesda Softworks, the game was soft-launched in April 2021 and released worldwide in March 2023. The decision comes following the shutdown of operations of Alpha Dog Games, the developer of the game. It seems like the shutdown of Mighty Doom is part of a larger picture of layoffs. Along with Alpha Dog, other game studios like Arkane Austin, Roundhouse Games and Tango Gameworks are also shutting down. The details of the layoffs are still a bit murky. However, it’s clear that the gaming industry is also taking a hit with all the job cuts. Despite all of this, Microsoft hasn’t delivered an official statement yet about Mighty Doom’s shutdown.
