Unmemory Is a “Text Driven Mystery” That Channels Device 6 and Blackbar, Coming to Android Soon

Unmemory is being pitched by developer Patrones y Escondites as, “A game you can read. A book you can play.” In other words, it’s a puzzler that involves a lot of reading.

Evidently inspired by groundbreaking mobile titles such as Device 6, Blackbar, and Her Story, it sees you sorting through various bits of media – written, audio, and visual – in order to identify your girlfriend’s killer.

The twist is that you’re suffering with severe memory loss, adding Memento to the pile of esteemed inspirations. Not only do you need to discover the murderer, but you need to discover yourself. It’s set in the ’90s, also like Memento.

Unmemory is an extremely promising prospect for fans of innovative, cutting edge game design. It’s due out on October the 13th, but you can pre-register for it right now on the Google Play Store.
