05 Sep Mobile Gaming Best New Android Games and Sales: Truberbrook, Meteorfall: Krumit’s Tale, Playdigious Sale, and More September 5, 2020 Posted by GataGames Leave a comment The northern hemisphere may be easing out of summer and into dismal fall, but it’s summer all year round in the world of mobile games. This week sees a few hot prospects arriving on the Google Play Store, including Meteorfall: Krumit’s Tale, Truberbrook, and the highly promising The Witcher: Monster Slayer (NZ only). In the world of sales, meanwhile, Playdigious is marking the passing of the summer with a huge end-of-summer sale. Read on for the highlights. New Games This multiplayer sneak-em-up has been around on PC for a while. It sees you exploring a steampunk airship and taking out human opponents while avoiding detection. The PC version has been criticised for empty servers – hopefully the infinitely cheaper mobile version will fare better. Like Murderous Pursuits, Truberbrook is a PC game with mixed reviews that’s significantly cheaper – therefore more appealing – on mobile. Set in ’60s Germany, it sees you playing as a hoodwinked scientist embroiled in a cold war plot in a sleepy German village. The graphics are stunning. The latest game in the popular Warhammer Quest series sees you climbing a tower and annihilating waves of monsters in grid-based tactical rounds. It looks solid graphically, though early user reviews have been less than favorable, and it’s currently sitting on an average of 3.2. Ouch. The Witcher: Monster Slayer is a highly intriguing take on Pokemon GO based in the unstoppably popular Witcher universe. Well, it’s based in our universe, being a location-based AR title, but the characters and monsters that appear on your screen and give you quests/try to kill you are CD Projekt’s finest. Unfortunately it’s only in New Zealand. Bright Paw, from Rogue Games, is a odd little puzzler in which you play as a cat investigating the murder of its owners, instead of eating them where they lie, like a real cat would do. The gameplay is turn-based and set on grids, a bit like Hitman GO or similar, and it looks highly polished. The sequel to Meteorfall: Journeys, Krumit’s Tale is a beautifully presented roguelike card-battler with an aesthetic that wouldn’t be out of place in an episode of Adventure Time. Not only does it look splendid, but it’s an incredibly deep, endlessly replayable game as well. Sales High class publisher Playdigious is holding an end-of-summer sale, with discounts of varying sizes on a number of its acclaimed titles. Standouts include Teslagrad and Evoland 2 at 80% off and Cultist Simulator at half-price. Dead Cells is in the sale too, but at a mere 10% off. She Sees Red, the Russian FMV game in which you have to investigate a nightclub murder, is just 99c right now on the Google Play Store. It’s not the longest game, and the English dubbing is poor, but you can’t argue with that price. Source link Facebook Twitter Google Email Pinterest
