VulkanBet offers odds on VALORANT Ignition Series events

On June 16th, Riot Games announced the Ignition Series, an endeavour devised to help boost and support competitive initiatives surrounding its newly-released tactical shooter, VALORANT.

The European G2 Esports Invitational, an event hosted by the ever-popular European organisation, is the very first Riot Games-sanctioned tournament that’s part of the new series. The developer has partnered with over 20 companies to kickstart VALORANT’s esports scene so it’s safe to say that today’s event is just the start.

Esports betting has surged in popularity in recent months due to COVID-19 essentially benching traditional sports. Gaming stepped up in a big way, though when a new title such as VALORANT enters the market, there’s been no real word on how bookmakers will approach it.

Keeping with the momentum produced by the unfortunate worldwide pandemic, VulkanBet has announced that it will offer odds on the inaugural Ignition Series tournament from G2 Esports. What markets are available? How do you decide which teams are most likely to win when the scene is being forged before our very eyes?

These are very sensible questions, of which VulkanBet has taken into consideration. While VALORANT esports is in its formative stage, the bookmaker wants to support the title from the very beginning and will remain vigilant in its development to ensure it’s offering as much as it can in an accurate and thought-out manner.

Using what data has been made available through influencer-led competitions such as Twitch Rivals, VulkanBet has odds available for the group stage of the tournament. Team Mixwell – led by G2 Esports first VALORANT member, Oscar “mixwell” Cañellas Colocho – is 2.15 to win against Team Draken, 1.47 to come out on top against Team Arch, and 1.4 to take the victory against Team Zerator, for example.

Being a former professional player in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, in addition to the huge vote of confidence displayed in his recent signing, you can see how the bookmaker has some information to work with when calculating odds. It’s important to note that the above odds are subject to change.

While it’s early days for VALORANT from both a casual and competitive standpoint, it’s undeniable that betting ups the ante for spectators at home who’re watching as teams work out new ways to dominate the competition – no less in a game that provides a sense of familiarity while being a brand new title with seemingly-unlimited possibilities!
