Prior to the public launch of Promod Esports, the agency worked on delivering remote broadcast engagements for the likes of UEFA’s eEURO 2020, the ESL Premiership, and National Student Esports (NSE). A release states that its staff has experience working in over 20 titles.

The agency’s consultancy offering includes helping IP owners – both native and new to esports – connect with their customers and potential audience. On the events side of the business, it will “create, organise and manage tournaments, events and broadcasts” for clients.

Black, who serves as Founder and CEO of Promod Esports, spoke on the venture in a release: “It’s clear that esports will continue to need expert service providers to help brands create relevant, authentic connections. We’re building a world-class white label service to work directly with IP owners on their strategies, products and engagements.

“The philosophy behind Promod was all about nurturing talent and growing the esports scene, and we are determined to continue that approach with Promod Esports. I’m delighted by the work we’ve already done, and I’m excited by the work that this brilliant team will do in the future.”

Esports Insider says: Black did a great job at ESL UK by all accounts and we’re sure he’ll smash it out of the park with his new venture. It’s a brilliant touch bringing the Promod name into the current evolution of esports through the agency, acting as both a nod to his past and an acknowledgement of the industry’s humble, DIY beginning.
