09 May Mobile Gaming Best New Android Games and Sales: Sonic at the Olympics, Juicy Realm, Harvest Moon, and More May 9, 2020 Posted by GataGames Leave a comment Oh look it’s Saturday. That means it’s time for Droid Gamers to round-up the week’s most exciting new Android game releases, as well as the best of the discounts. It hasn’t been a bumper week, but there are some real gems in this week’s list, including the highly anticipated Juicy Realm, and the probably-quite-depressing Through the Darkest of Times. New Games BE-A Walker is a side-scrolling shooter in which you control an upgradeable mech, killing the native inhabitants of the planet you’re trying to colonise. If you don’t like the sound of that, you can fight on the side of the natives. Like Papers, Please and This War of Mine, Through the Darkest of Times is a game with an important historical message. You’ll be forced to make tough decisions as you manage a resistance group opposing the National Socialists in 1933 Berlin. The real Toyko Olympics may have been cancelled due to COVID-19, but the world of video games is immune to viruses. Except computer viruses. Compete in various athletics events in the guise of different characters from the Sonic universe. The latest in a long line of Deathtrap Dungeon video games, this Deathtrap Dungeon stars Eddie Marsan, the famous actor. Otherwise it’s the same as it was when Ian Livingstone wrote the original gamebook 392 years ago. Beast Quest Ultimate Heroes is based on a hugely successful children’s book franchise that you may not have heard of if you’re not a child. It’s a 3D tower defense game with sprinklings of CCG, RPG, and resource management. Already available on PC, Forza Street is a rather cynical re-skin of an existing free-to-play drag racer called Miami Street. It looks extremely polished, but you download it anticipating some Forza-quality racing, you’ll be disappointed. Comedy Night is an original. It sees you visiting a virtual comedy club either as an audience member or a stand-up comic, delivering your material with your own voice to a crowd of braying punters. It’s chaotic, as you can imagine, but with checking out for the spectacle. Juicy Realm is a twin-stick shooter that’s already out for Switch. It sees you taking down overgrown, psychotic fruit and vegetables, and this mobile port has everything the Switch game did and more, in the form of an extra character. It’s half-price at launch, too. Sales A spin-off of the popular Bendy cartoon horror series, Boris and the Dark Survival is a polished hide-and seek game with jump scares and randomly generated environments. Bendy and the Ink Machine is less than half-price too. Three of the Harvest Moon games – Seeds of Memories, Light of Hope, and Mad Dash – are currently on sale for around half-price, which represents a decent saving in the case of the first two games in that list.
