Fnatic and Loco to host PUBG Mobile charity tournament


London-based organisation Fnatic has teamed up with Loco to organise #GamingForGood, a charity event for the Indian esports community.

The PUBG Mobile event is an initiative devised to help those affected by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Fnatic and Logo are working with the likes of OnePlus, Homegrown, AFK Gaming, Villager Esports, and BookMyShow on the tournament. The live broadcast will be available on Loco, Pocket Aces’ streaming platform.

Nimish Raut, India Lead for Fnaticdiscussed the initiative in a release: “Fnatic has always been a team that’s built by the fans. I believe that with the thousands of gamers across India coming together, we could truly showcase the power of the Indian esports community and contribute in a way that benefits the people who are most in need. #GamingforGood stands for every gamer and his or her orange and black heart.”

The event will take place over April 3rd-5th, with 18 games to be played. It has a prize pool of INR 2,00,000 (£2,140) which will be awarded to the top three teams.  The winning teams will donate the prize money to either Zomato Feeding India or 4DOG’SAKE India. Viewers are also invited to donate to the cause.

Anirudh Pandita, Founder of Pocket Aces, also commented: “We are at a strong inflection point in Indian gaming and we are pleased to launch game streaming on Loco with #GamingForGood. As the home of Indian gaming, Loco is proud to collaborate with India’s most popular esports teams for this tournament.
