Endpoint receives strategic sponsorship from CeX

British organisation Endpoint has received a strategic sponsorship from second hand technology retailer CeX.

The high street retailer will “bring the community to the forefront” of the sponsorship through online and in-person activations.

Adam Jessop, CEO of Endpoint discussed the deal in a release: “We are so pleased to be announcing our sponsorship deal with the prestigious high street brand, CeX. It became clear very quickly that CeX matched our passion for esports, along with the desire and commitment to drive the UK competitive scene forward. We are very much looking forward to working closely with such a vibrant company, and engaging the esports audience in new and exciting ways. We fully believe that 2020 will prove to be a hugely successful year for UK esports and we are thankful that CeX will be a key part of that success.”

As part of the sponsorship, “community and gaming experiences” will be held in CeX’s stores across the United Kingdom with the aim of educating people on the need for up-to-date technology when gaming.

Hugh Man, Co-founder and Chairman of CeX also commented on the sponsorship: “We’re delighted to support the growth of UK esports by partnering with Endpoint. We believe that esports will experience exponential growth in the coming years and that Endpoint will be a major player to help drive esports to become mainstream entertainment. As the UK’s technology buy and sell specialist, the audience is a perfect match for CeX.”

Endpoint unveiled a rebrand earlier this month, marking a new era of the organisation. With this strategic sponsorship from CeX and having secured a slot at ESL Pro Tour stop DreamHack Open Anaheim, Endpoint’s evidently looking to keep up with other British organisations Excel Esports and Fnatic.

Esports Insider says: CeX is a recognisable brand throughout the entirety of the UK so having an involvement with the company could be a great awareness campaign for Endpoint. With Excel Esports and BT recently joining forces and now this deal, 2020 has been kind to the UK esports scene so far.
