Best MOBAs on Android 2020: Top Multiplayer Online Battle Arenas on Mobile

If you love a good MOBA, mobile is probably the best platform for them outside of PC. It doesn’t quite have a standout winner like League of Legends or DOTA 2, but there are solid offerings nonetheless.

To help you find your new gaming fix, we thought we’d round up our favourites in the genre for you below.

Best MOBAs on Android 2020

The Best: Vainglory

Vainglory is without doubt the best MOBA on Android right now. It’s been around for ages but has stood the test of time with regular updates, the introduction of new modes, and all new heroes. If you just want the best, download Vainglory right now.

The Rest

We’re handling this list a little differently to our other recent options, as mobile has a pretty clear winner in the world of MOBAs and they don’t really differ much between one and the other. Vainglory is top and we’ll list other options below.

Arena of Valor

Arena of Valor was Tencent’s effort to bring a League of Legends-style experience to mobile. Sadly, it didn’t really work out and Tencent has ceased development, but it’s still going and has a small community if you fancy something a little different.

Onmyoji Arena

Onmyoji Arena is a relatively recent offering by NetEase, which takes place in the same universe as the publisher’s gacha RPG, Onmyoji. It’s got a wonderful art style based on Asian mythology and even features a 3v3v3 battle royale-style mode.

Heroes Evolved

Heroes Evolved has a huge library of over 50 heroes to choose from, including real world heroes like Bruce Lee. There’s also a wide variety of play modes, a clan system, lots of gear to unlock and customise your characters, and no pay to win.

Heroes of Order & Chaos

Heroes of Order & Chaos has been around for years, launching shortly after the original Order & Chaos MMORPG. It has just featured a remaster though, so it’s up to speed with its more modern competitors.

Mobile Legends

It’s really hard to find a bunch of different ways to describe different MOBAs, as they’re pretty much all identical to each other. It’s not a genre that people really want innovation or change in. We just want a MOBA. However, the benefit of this one is that AI will take over for your character if you accidentally drop offline, and you can carry on when you reconnect.

Paladins Strike

Paladins Strike is a little bit different from its competitors in that it’s really more of a hero shooter wrapped in the skin of a MOBA. There are 15 characters from the Paladins universe to play as and a bunch of different modes inspired by the real game.
