30 Oct eSport Nerd Street Gamers’ FTW Philly gets 10-episode season October 30, 2019 Posted by GataGames Leave a comment American TV channel NBC has given the greenlight for Nerd Street Gamers‘ ‘FTW Philly‘ series, focusing on Philadelphia’s esports scene. NBC Sports Philadelphia began to air the 10-episode season – which is produced by studio Maestro Filmworks – on October 25th. Image credit: Nerd Street Gamers RELATED: Nerd Street Gamers to take NCS Minor to Player Omega A pilot was broadcast on September 27th, highlighting Nerd Street Gamers’ National Championship Series – more specifically, it focused on The Reversal, a fighting game tournament held in the city. John Fazio, CEO of Nerd Street Gamers discussed the series order in a release: “Philadelphians might not be aware, but the region is quickly becoming a major hub for all things esports. We’re showcasing the excitement of esports to both gamers and non-gamers alike. This series is a win for the community, and will further our company’s mission to make esports more welcoming and accessible to all gamers.” The series will explore the competitive gaming scene of numerous cities in the region, including the Harrisburg University Esports Invitational. By creating FTW Philly, we can provide a home so that gamers and non-gamers alike can rally behind the exciting stories that are sure to pique the interest of all sports fans.” Episodes will air every Friday at 9PM EDT, but will also available to watch on Twitch and YouTube.
