20 Oct eSport, Mobile Gaming This Week on Droid Gamers: Sales, Pre-Registrations and the End of Durango Wild Lands October 20, 2019 Posted by GataGames Leave a comment This week was a little different from the usual. Not only was there a bunch of games that went on sale, and several that are available for pre-registration. But there was the announcement that Durango Wild Lands will shut down this December. This may not be important to most of you, but it shows us how money orientated mobile games are. If they aren’t making money within three months of global launch, then they can be pulled from the sore. This is what I disapprove of because some players would have spent some money on the game, and now that money is wasted. It doesn’t seem fair that developers can charge outrageous prices for content or cosmetics and then pull the game when it doesn’t make enough money. Maybe I am overreacting, but if you buy something, then it should be yours forever. All these season passes and in-app-purchases are taking the user further and further away from owning anything. Instead, we get to pay for an experience that can be taken away from us at a moment’s notice. Anyway, I am sure you’ve heard enough old fashioned views from me. If you disagree with anything I have said then let me know in the comments below. Now, let’s get to the games! Sales Most of the sales I wrote about this week have already expired. But fear not, there are plenty of games I did not mention that are still on sale right now. Check out the official list of games on sale on the Google Play Store. Pre-Registrations and Upcoming Games I like to keep a firm eye on what new games are now available for pre-registration. If you are a League of Legends fan, then this week was particularly good for you. Riot Games released three new titles to pre-register for, each of which is explained in this article.
